The triskel is a basic image in the area of Celtic Art, yet a very powerful one. It's the root of many a spiral. Here, I have exprimented with giving one the feeling of a liquid metal that has formed the shape on a rocky surface. The background is created from a scan of a photo I took of a rock texture, then played with in Photoshop. I prefer to use my own photographic textures rather than from a stock photo library. It allows me greater input to the creative process.
